Gallang Education and Training provides comprehensive educational programs and courses coupled with quality, culturally sensitive support for the entire Indigenous community.
We deliver nationally accredited professional training programs that prepare you for industry standard employment and a future career.
We keep our courses up to date to provide the community and people working within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities with the skills they need to continue providing much needed and valuable support.
Our primary focus is on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander led training. Our courses are tailored to providing a strong, culturally sensitive base. We do encourage everyone to participate in our training.
Our trainees number between 90 to 100 students a year across three different courses. GET aims to double this number in the next 12-24 months.
Our students are all adults aged 18 and above. We train individuals who either work in the community or are interested in getting involved in the community, working and supporting the Indigenous population.
Common employment paths for trainees include:

Our training is designed to offer flexible access. Delivered both in face-to-face and online formats, we offer self-paced and blended delivery models. This allows for volunteers, casual workers, part-time or full-time employees to participate.
Additionally, we offer recognition of prior learning (RPL) and current competency is taken into consideration for all trainees and participants.
There are many ways to study with GET, so there’s bound to be a perfect solution to suit you and your workplace. There’s no need to interrupt your work or life for long periods of time, or keep you studying for years, to get a qualification from our organisation.
Courses cost between $5,000 and $10,000 each but are subsidised by employers, scholarship grants and other benefactors and organisations. GET applies for government grants to assist students who have not completed any previous training.
